My new passion and obsession: Cycling!

It is a cliché, I know, but I fell in love with cycling during the early part of the Covid Pandemic. I was trying to stay fit by running, but in the earlier part I couldn’t do a proper run out and still wear a mask. I changed exercise mode and purchased an indoor bike. Nothing fancy like a Peloton. I wasn’t that committed in the beginning, just a nice little Yoshida indoor bike purchased through Amazon. After a few weeks on the indoor bike, a came upon realization, or actually it was more a memory — a memory of my childhood. Being on a bike again, though stationary, brought me back to the days of when I was 9 and 10 and felt that freedom of getting on my blue Scwhinn bike and riding around the neighborhood. I had no idea or destination when I jumped on that bike when I was a kid, it was just the simple fact that I could go anywhere I wanted that allowed me that freedom and pleasure. So, in my near 4th decade of life on the planet I made a decision. I was going to purchase a bike and get back on those roads.

Little did I know it would turn into whatever it is right now, but here’s a short (or long depending upon your opinion) run down of how I got into my new passion of Cycling.
